Tuition is designed to support genuine understanding and does not involve completing assessed work on a student’s behalf.

Everyday Numeracy and Confidence

Adults sometimes need help with Maths for everyday life rather than for a formal examination.
One-to-one lessons allow learners to work privately and at their own pace. Our tutors explain each stage clearly, without pressure or judgement, and revisit topics whenever necessary.
The aim is to build practical understanding and lasting confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I have the same tutor every week?

Yes. Students have the same regular tutor, helping them build a comfortable working relationship and make consistent progress.

Can you help with both AS and A-Level Maths?

Yes. Tuition can support students studying AS Maths, the full A-Level course or preparing to resit an examination.

Which A-Level exam boards do you cover?

Our tutors support the main A-Level Maths examination boards, including AQA, Edexcel and OCR.

Can lessons focus on just one part of the course?

Yes. Lessons can concentrate on Trigonometry for Engineers, Algebra, Calculus, Differential Equations, Pure Mathematics, Statistics, Mechanics or individual topics causing difficulty.
Can you help an adult who has not studied Maths for many years?

Yes. Lessons begin at the learner’s current level and progress at a comfortable pace. There is no expectation that an adult learner will remember everything previously studied.

Can you guarantee a particular examination grade or test result?
No tutor can guarantee a particular result. However, we provide individual teaching, structured support and targeted preparation to give every student the best opportunity to improve.
How long is each lesson?

A standard one-to-one lesson lasts 60 minutes , but we can offer 2 or 3 hour lessons

What equipment is needed?

Students need a laptop or tablet with a reliable internet connection, a camera and microphone, together with their calculator and ordinary writing materials.
