Our Team - We are a team of Maths Tutors all working together in lesson planning and tutoring strategy to offer tailor made one-to-one tuition both online and from a purpose-built study in my home in Thundersley, near Benfleet.

As well as offering tuition at Maths Tutor Essex, we also deliver tuition through the Government sponsored National Tutoring Programme and workalong side schools deleivering extra curriculum Maths Tuition

How much will it cost?

Our Private one-to-one Maths Tuition fees are:-
Under 16s
  • Online lessons - £35 per hour for KS1, KS2,KS3, GCSE level and  GCSE re-sits
  • Face to face lessons £40 per hour for KS1, KS2,KS3, GCSE level and  GCSE re-sit
Over 16s
  • Online lessons  ​£40 per hour for AS Level Maths, A level Maths and GCSE Statistics and GCSE Further Maths,  Functional Skills, QTS Numeracy and other adult vocational qualifications.
  • Face to Face lessons  ​£45  per hour for AS Level Maths, A level Maths and GCSE Statistics and GCSE Further Maths,  Functional Skills, QTS Numeracy and other adult vocational qualifications.​
  • Maths for Engineering Degrees - £45ph
  all payable per half term in advance.

We can arrange for a group discount for pupils of the same school year who wish to be taught together.

We can arrange for a group discount for pupils of the same school year who wish to be taught together but the majority of our tuition is one-to-one, as we believe that is best for the child.

Why does anyone need Private Maths Tuition?

With the current economic climate and jobs being increasingly more difficult to come by, it is imperative to give our children the best start in life that we can. Classroom sizes are a minimum of 30 and even the best teachers just do not have the time or resources to give pupils the individual attention that the subject can often require.

Where do you teach the Maths lessons?

We offer lessons both online and Face-to-Face from a purpose-built study in my home in Thundersley, near Benfleet in Essex and our Maths students come from Rayleigh, Leigh, Benfleet, Basildon, Southend, Wickford and surrounding areas. We have had pupils from The King John School Thundersley, Appleton School Benfleet, Belfairs High School Southend, Fitzwimarc School Rayleigh, Sweyne Park School Rayleigh, Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Primary School Rayleigh, the Deanes School Thundersley and many more . 

Tuition in your own home is available in South East Essex for those pupils, who, for health or other personal reasons, are unable to attend school, at a cost of £45 per hour plus travel time (usually one hour) and expenses, during school hours.
